Autodesk University
The week before Thanksgiving has become the annual time for Autodesk University and AU 2020 will be my 15th consecutive year teaching at the conference. Autodesk University will be a digital conference this year. While I’m disappointed not to see everyone in person at AU this year, 2020 seems to be the year of making the best of a difficult situation, so a bright side of this is that more people that could not typically attend AU may get the chance to attend digitally. In addition it has been announced that AU will be FREE this year since it is digital. It won’t be the same, but there will still be great content.
I will be moderating the CAD Manager Panel again this year at Autodesk University. Panels are one of the few classes that will be live at AU this year so it should be close to the normal AU experience, or at least as close as we can get in 2020. This panel always sells out so one advantage of being online is we should be able to get everyone in that wants to attend. We have a great panel lined up for you again this year with some interesting topics to discuss. I hope you will be able to attend. I’m looking forward to it.
PLSO – January 22 – 24, 2020
This year the PLSO (Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon) is having their annual conference in Portland and they have asked me to teach a full day of classes relating to Civil 3D for Surveyors.
LSAW – February 26 – 28, 2020
This year the LSAW (Land Surveyors’ Association of Washington) is having their annual conference in Tulalip and they have asked me to teach a full day of classes relating to Civil 3D for Surveyors. This is my fourth year teaching at this conference and it is always a great event.
Midwest University – March 18-19, 2020 – Cancelled
I have been invited to teach two classes at Midwest University this year. This will be my third time at this conference. It always is great event, like a mini AU, and I am excited to be a part of it. They have put together a great lineup of speakers for this two day event. You can find all the details at their website.
CRAB Conference – March 24-27, 2020 – Cancelled
The CRAB (County Road Administration Board) Road Design Conference has asked me to speak this year on the GIS tools in Civil 3D. It’s been a while since I have been at this conference and I’m looking forward to being back this year.
APLS-CLSA-NALS Conference – March 28-31, 2020 – Rescheduled to August 21-25, 2020 as a digital conference
The APLS-CLSA-NALS Conference (Arizona Professional Land Surveyors/California Land Surveyors Association/Nevada Association of Land Surveyors Joint Conference) will be held in Las Vegas this year and I have been asked to teach a full day of classes relating to Civil 3D for Surveyors.
Carlson Go West User Conference – April 20-22, 2020 – Cancelled for 2020, the conference will be in Maysville, KY for 2021
I will be teaching several classes at Carlson Software’s annual conference this year. They alternate locations between the west coast and Maysville, KY each year and this year this year the conference is coming to Portland. It will be quite a change having the conference so close to home.
